Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager: identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. 

 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • A University Degree and/or a proven track record in Research Business Development with a minimum of five years of experience. 
  • An extensive network of connections across all types of industries and government sector, in Saudi Arabia and UAE is a definite condition. 
  • Good understanding and knowledge of research practices and of the GCC/MENA Research market. 
  • Market research experience is a definite requirement. 
  • Fluent English and Arabic. 
  • Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients. 
  • Team working skills and a collaborative approach to work. 
  • Strategical Thinker. 
  • Flexible and adaptable individual. 
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets. 
  • Presentation skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Ability to analyze sales figures and write reports. 
  • IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets. 

 

Responsibilities 

As a business development manager, you'll need to: 

  • Research and identify new business opportunities/clients/markets/products… 
  • Identify and reach the appropriate contacts in organizations. 
  • Generate leads. 
  • Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone. 
  • Create and develop relationships with customers/clients. 
  • Maintain a sales pipeline. 
  • Negotiate pricing with customers and finalize the deals.  
  • Responsible for client contracts in coordination with legal. 
  • Increase sales of the business to meet the sales targets. 
  • Prepare sales forecasts and analysis. 
  • Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department. 
  • Liaise with the finance team as appropriate.
